Stylized with all uppercase letters as 'ABSOLUTE POWER'.

One of vocalist Tim Sirianni Jr.'s biggest influences is the New York-based heavy metal/hardcore punk band Pro-Pain. Ironically, Pro-Pain released a studio album in 2010 called 'Absolute Power'. When asked if the band got their name from the album title, Tim says "Lol no... we were around before that album came out... I did find it kind of funny that one of my biggest influences named an album the same as my band." Tim continues "Although I did meet Gary [Meskil] the vocalist/bass player at one of their shows right before that album came out. I told him that I played in a band called Absolute Power, that was influenced by Pro-Pain and actually covered a couple of their tunes, idk if that triggered anything, but a about a year later their next album was called Absolute Power... lol"

ABSOLUTE POWER, Hours Of Decay, Murder Earth and Slyde played on 26th June 2015 at the Boggs' Hull Avenue Tavern in Des Moines, Iowa, in aid of Tim Sirianni Jr.'s 40th birthday bash. For AP's set, Josh Dalton (ex-Dawn Of Destruction) guest starred in place of recently departed Brent Bartscht on guitar, and Mike Ramsey (also ex-Dawn Of Destruction) guest starred in place of Will Eklund, also recently departed, on drums.

During 2015, the band covered Painface's song 'The New Son' at one show.
