COMMENTS

Not to be confused with the hard rock band of the same name from Houston, Texas.

Atomic Opera started out mainly doing covers, performing songs by Metallica, etc.

In one interview with Matt Biegger of Treblehook, he said that he founded Atomic Opera with Michael Curry.

Matt Biegger was replaced by Scott Andreas on vocals, and Michael Curry was replaced by Bruce Swink on guitar around 1992.

It was once said that because Atomic Opera's music was so complex, that they never recorded. This is untrue, however, as they put out a CD called 'The Judgement' and some of the songs have been available on the internet.

There were only two Atomic Opera albums, one was never really released as they broke up during the recording process. The second one had Bruce (downthesun/Deadfront) and Jim (Slipknot/Deadfront). The vocalist is now in Defiance, a Queensryche/Helstar type band.

Steve Pundzak (Nest Of Snakes) drew the cover for the band's 'The Judgement' release back in 1989-90.
